The Gear
Prepping for something like this was no easy task. I honestly, didn’t know where to start, so I began making generic lists and cross referencing it with those who road their bikes across America. From there I began to pair down or swap items what I already owned.
The goal was to spend as little as possible and use what I already owned. For someone just getting into bike-packing and long distance touring, this was a bit overwhelming and I want to share all the things I purchased in this post and link my thoughts on each item that I went without, replaced, or would recommend an upgrade. (Separate post to follow)
